I snuck in this plane and toured it while it was living at a tractor museum in portland TN. It made my week. The old girl has the most beautiful petina and is dying to tell you her stories. It was a highlight of my life to see this aircraft in a very original yet airworthy condition. It recently sold at auction. I hope the new owners keep her flying. Wow!

I'd love a plane whose oil level is measured with a yard stick and filled in 5 gallon buckets. It just says, "Lets go somewhere new!"

Everytime I see a C-47, I wonder if that's the plane that my father and his stick jumped out of. Was always my dream to jump out of one but I always found myself in a 1957 Cessna called the Grey Ghost.
